My Roots
About Jesús Almader
Not to be confused with the other guy. I'm what's commonly referred to as an "anchor baby", and I spent my formative years in the highly regarded city of Tijuana, Mexico, where my interest in Mexican and American consumerism inadvertently set the trajectory of my career. Growing up, I had to navigate many personal challenges like learning a new language, moving countries, poverty, divorce, and most recently, coping with my father’s passing. All of which subsequently changed my perspective on life and left me with an unconventional sense of humor.
As for my career, I was initially seduced by animation until I discovered the multifaceted qualities of design. Where sheer stubbornness and drive led me to assume creative roles in marketing, newspaper, and as an art director for a student magazine. In 2017, I joined a startup agency, becoming its second employee, where I held the title of longest-serving creative powerhouse.
